West Loop dweller Elise Hofer Shaw brings 20 years of editing experience to SL mag. Before Sophisticated Living, she worked her way up the ranks at Modern Luxury, including positions as Senior Editor of CS magazine (10 years), Founding Editor and Editor-In-Chief of The Men’s Book (4 years), and Editor-In-Chief of Modern Luxury Weddings (7 years). After spearheading the content for SL Chicago’s printed magazine for five years as Editor-In-Chief, Hofer Shaw is now heading up the content for slmagchicago.com, contributing travel stories to all of the mags under the Sophisticated Living umbrella and raising her adorable daughter, Emma. @ehofershaw

Bridget Daley

Creative Director

Daley grew up on the South Side—at 84th and Rockwell to be exact. She started her career in TV holding coveted positions at NBC and CNBC, gigs that paved the way for her dream job: producing for The Oprah Winfrey Show. These days, in addition to being SL mag’s creative director and chief party planner, and raising three amazing children, Daley also owns 84Rockwell, a chic line of belt bags that’s manufactured in Florence, Italy. Celeb clients include Kate Hudson, Mila Kunis, Whitney Port and Ali Landry. Little James Gustin was the subject of many annoying photographs under the direction of his mother, Iry. While most of his life he avoided being a part of anything having to do with a camera, his resistance has led him into a life of the lens. It’s a good thing Gustin appreciates irony! Karina Heinrich

Chicago’s elite turn to diet expert Karina Heinrich for success in achieving optimal wellness and weight loss. When he’s not writing about some of the city’s top restaurants and cultural happenings for SL and movies for film festivals around the world, Joel Hoglund works as communications and events director at the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy, a Chicago-based nonprofit that works to protect Wright’s architecture worldwide. He is the editor of the 2017 book Wright Sites: A Guide to Frank Lloyd Wright Public Places (Princeton Architectural Press).

Korey Huyler

Korey Karnes Huyler has spent almost 20 years working in journalism in Chicago and New York City—with full-time positions at publications including CS, Time Out Chicago, Seventeen, CosmoGirl! and more.
