Kick@55 Fitness, the Chicago boot camp with a cult following, expands to two studios.

This cheekily named HIIT workout used to be Chicago’s best secret: Kick@55 Fitness was taught out of rented space at River North’s HiFi Fitness, where those in the know gathered in a room typically used for a pole workout and panted through an ever-changing lineup of cardio drills, body-weight exercises and barbell lifts. Today, the boot camp has enough devotees to run two dedicated studios, Kick@55 Fitness River North and new Kick@55 Fitness Lincoln Park, which opened in January. Class will leave you exhausted—think burpees until your legs quit on you—but Kick@55 is about more than the 55 minutes you spend in the studio. Owner Rebecca Gahan fosters a tight-knit community of clients who are buds outside of class, getting together for social events and sharing encouragement on social media. Head to the Lincoln Park studio to try a new class called Bike and Burn, during which you’ll alternate between spinning and hitting the floor for strength training and cardio. Use promo code KickPartner2018 to get a month of unlimited classes for just $53.70.
