During Chicago’s brutal winter months, hydration is key when it comes to taking care of your skin, says TRIO Salon’s aesthetician Raquel Mixon, who exclusively uses Dermalogica products for her in-demand Hydra-Infusion Facial. Step one: Pre-cleansing to melt away impurities and makeup from the skin, followed by a soap-free skin-conditioning cleanser. Next, an exfoliant boasting salicylic acid and vitamins A, C and E is applied. Then, it’s time for the Colloidal Masque Base and multivitamin Power Recovery Masque one-two punch. After the green tea and linoleic acid—great for restoring signs of environmental damage and aging—have soaked in, Mixon brings out the oxygen-infusion machine to plump fine lines and wrinkles with a mix of hyaluronic acid and vitamins C and F. And last but not least, an emollient daily moisturizer with SPF 50 adds a final layer of protection to the face. Et voila! A smoother, more radiant you is turned out into the world with skin that’s primed to combat environmental assault. $125

Think of it like a mini perm for your eyelashes that lasts six to eight weeks—and makes monotonous daily eyelash curling a thing of the past. Lashes are wrapped around Elleebana’s small, medium, large or extra-large rods (depending on how big you want to go) before being set with the beauty brand’s trademarked Lift and Setting lotions for 10 minutes. Mixon has the magic touch, keeping the poking and prodding to a minimum, even applying soothing under-eye patches for the duration of the processing. The results? Lashes that immediately look elongated and shaped to perfection. She recommends combining the lift with an eyelash tint for undeniable impact (tints last approximately two weeks). The best part? Now your mascara can gather dust in your drawer alongside that pesky eyelash curler. After all, reducing the number of total steps involved in your morning routine is the ultimate endgame, am I right? $100 for eyelash lift and $28 for eyelash tint

Winter months leaving you with dry and brittle locks? TRIO carries Goldwell, the gold standard in hair-repair serums to nourish stressed-out hair. Lean back into the bowl while your stylist massages Arrojo’s decadent yet gentle avocado and honey shampoo onto your scalp and hair, followed by jojoba and rosemary conditioner, then the intensive leave-in serum that’s packed with pashmina silk proteins (and built-in color protection, natch). Post-blowout, expect instantly visible and touchable results. Add on styling services with Senior Hair Stylist Jeri Delgado—some sexy waves, perhaps?—and you’re ready for a night of confident hair-flipping out on the town. $45 for a standard blowout and styling ($105 for a blowout and styling with a Level 4 stylist). Add on $28 for the Goldwell Rich Repair Hair Serum.
